We also operate the InBetween Spaces and Community Animation Projects, aimed at creating and animating safe, accessible public space for all, focused on the Downtown Eastside and on the in-between or â€œthirdâ€ spaces.&nbsp;</p><h5><b>The Opportunity:&nbsp;</b></h5><p>This full-time position is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in helping Atira Development Society expand its impact in the community by using your gifts and skills in the areas of written and visual communications, including grant writing, social media, visual communication, donor communications, and storytelling. The successful applicant will both initiate and provide grant and proposal writing support including researching, developing and writing compelling grant letters and applications, program updates and grant/funding reports for current, new and potential funders. You enjoy writing and creating and have a proven ability to develop and maintain rapport with people, groups and organizations.</p><h5><span>Specific Duties and Responsibilities:</span></h5><p>Responsible for the funder engagement cycle and building relationships with key funders; sourcing, writing and submitting grants within deadline; maintaining an accurate database on interactions with funders, grants and foundations; working with operations staff regarding grants for program and capital campaign funding; working with finance and program staff to gather information necessary to both prepare budgets for grants and to report to funders, donors, and corporate partners on current grants and donations.
